1. Who we are & what this covers
BestBuds (“BestBuds”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) is building a pet-care platform — a mobile app for pet parents and an admin dashboard for pet businesses such as vets, groomers, boarding and day-care providers.
This Privacy Policy explains how we handle personal information collected through this website, including when you join our waitlist or book a demo. It does not yet cover the BestBuds app or admin dashboard, which are still in development. When they launch, a separate and expanded privacy policy will apply to them.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you use our forms, we collect:
- Waitlist: your name, email address, phone number, whether you’re a pet owner or a business, and (for businesses) your business name.
- Demo bookings: your name, email address, contact number, and the demo date and time you select.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider may log limited technical data — such as your IP address, device and browser type, and the pages you visit — to keep the site secure and running. We do not use advertising or third-party tracking cookies on this site.
3. How we use your information
We use the information you provide to:
- Add you to our early-access waitlist and notify you when BestBuds launches in your area.
- Schedule, confirm and follow up on demo sessions.
- Respond to your enquiries and send you relevant updates about our launch.
- Operate, secure, analyse and improve the website.
- Comply with our legal obligations.
We rely on your consent (which you give by submitting our forms) and our legitimate interest in building and launching BestBuds. You can withdraw your consent at any time — see “Your rights” below.
5. Where your information is stored
Our service providers may store or process data on servers located outside the Republic of the Philippines. Where that happens, we take reasonable steps to ensure your information continues to be protected in line with this policy and applicable data-protection law.
6. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist and demo information for as long as we need it to contact you about our launch and demos, and to meet legal obligations. You can ask us to delete your information at any time (see below).
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8. Your rights
Under the Philippine Data Privacy Act of 2012 (RA 10173) and other applicable laws, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you;
- Correct information that is inaccurate or out of date;
- Object to or restrict how we process your data;
- Withdraw consent you previously gave;
- Request that we delete or block your data; and
- Lodge a complaint with the National Privacy Commission.

9. Children's privacy
This website is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.

Our site may link to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices — please review their policies before sharing information with them.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as BestBuds evolves. We’ll post the updated version here with a new “Last updated” date, and where appropriate we’ll let you know by email.
